Fascination
In the botanical world, fasciation is a term to describe a specific type of mutation in plants that can be caused by a variety of environmental and developmental factors. Recently the appearance of this mutation has mistakenly been entirely synonymous with radiation exposure. This animation features a little girl and a fascinated daisy, and was created based on 1964 Lyndon B. Johnson political advertisement "Daisy", in response to the visual culture of 60's cold war American propaganda. Animation components consisted of hand drawn, printed, and assembled puppets and backgrounds. Vocal acting provided by filmmaker Alex Pizzuti.
